Mamma Mia
I’m always on the lookout for awesome new beauty products to share.
One of my most recent finds is this little guy:
It’s called the Clairisonic Mia 2, and it’s a rechargeable face cleaning brush. The bristles oscillate really really quickly to get your face super clean, very gently.
Let me first admit that I also own and LOVE one of these:
So I’m not one to shy away from using motorized implements on my face that require you to be, self admittedly, somewhat lazy to use. But also, because my teeth have never felt cleaner then when I use my motorized toothbrush (it’s like coming back from the dentist! seriously!), it wasn’t such a far leap to invest in the Mia.
The Mia has an outer ring of bristles that stay stationary (they keep face wash from getting flung all over your bathroom, and contain the foam). You’re supposed to use it with a really gentle cleanser since it’s doing a lot of exfoliating. You can buy more gentle, softer brush heads and you work up to using it twice a day. When you turn it on, it runs for a minute total and it does a little hiccup to let you know when you move from your forehead, to your nose and chin, to your cheeks– just like how my toothbrush hiccups to tell me when to switch sections of my mouth. And best of all, it’s waterproof so you can bring it into the shower with you! It also comes with a wall charger to juice it back up. The battery lasts for about 24 uses without needing to be recharged. And because it’s so easy to use, I’ve been able to really stick with a routine with it.
I’ve been loving this because I noticed that I was breaking out a little bit more around my forehead and the sides of my face. Since I’ve been using this, my skin has been softer and clearer. The blackheads and yuckies around my nose are definitely reduced too!

I love mine too! And I love how clever the charger is too. And it glows!
I have a Clarisonic Mia and it’s the best thing that has ever happened to me. I noticed that my skin is a lot clearer and less oily whenever I use it consistently but when I stop all hell breaks loose (no pun intended). It’s the first product like this that I’ve tried that actually does what it’s supposed to, gently.
I’m glad you like yours too! And I find that my skin is less oily too, that’s a great point. It could also just be that I’m finally sticking to really cleaning my face every AM/PM, I used to be pretty lazy about it before.

There’s about a thousand different models and I honestly couldn’t tell which one mine was, its a Sonic Care though!
