Thursday Tips: Lace-up Shoes
To be honest, I wanted to do a Tip on the inverted V/chopper/inverted straddle/helicopter for today. BUT, I couldn’t get into the studio to record! Sadface. Unfortunately, it will have to wait for next week…. So instead, I’m sharing a tip that has saved my lace-up-boot loving LIFE.
If you own any boots with eyelets like this:
You know how much of a pain it is to store them. No matter what you do, the laces will somehow jump out of the eyelets like this:
And you have to re-lace them every time you wear them. ANNOYING!
With just a pair of pliers (like these, use the needle-nosed kind)…
you can very gently bend the eyelets down like this:
So that the laces can’t come free. So here’s the BEFORE:
And the AFTER:
EASY! And, now you don’t have to worry about the laces coming out anymore!
Tomorrow’s post: An easy way to make a MILLION dollars…

Love this tip! I have boots that always give me this problem. I’m going to try this when I wear them again.
Save yourself the twisted ankle for sure!
Great tip!!! I’ve had laces that have gotten hooked on the opposite boot eyelets when I was upside down. Very awkward to try and get off of the pole with your shoes stuck together on opposite sides of the pole!!!
Oh I can totally imagine it and I totally feel your pain! Get to bending those eyes over, girl!!
Great tip! LOVE these boots!! Where did you get them??
